12:1376547 I spotted this seal in the Wellington Dock this morning, and it`s a different one to the other pictured off the beach recently.

12:1876548 Again, in the dock this morning and a smaller head than the other one I think. Very cold wind about this morning, so couldn`t hang about too long especially as he/she was only coming up every 10 minute`s or so.

14:5776558Ah yes Colin did the right thing there, got the first shot to prove, to show, where the seal was and then followed up with pic 2. Well done Colin.
A year or so back our former roving man, who is very quiet these days, Phil Eyden, got some very good pictures of the seal in the dock...many of you will remember them.

15:2776561Thanks all and more pleasurable than road accident`s. I did read somewhere`s Paul that a seal had been observed there recently, but I couldn`t find it. I`ve been through Phil`s stunning nature pages again, but no luck. Was it a thread title do you know?

the seal that paul refers to must have been about 3 years ago, well before phil was coerced into doing his nature page.
there were a couple of photos on a thread at the time.

15:5176564Gosh its hard to remember where these things are looking back Colin. I dont know if you waded back through All Recent Features as it may have been in there .. I think I remember I did it on the frontpage but cant swear to it. It wasnt too recently though Colin..perhaps a year.
Getting Keef's "Seal of Approval" has to be a good thing!
