The oul shelters deteriorate very quickly. Painted one year then in tatters the next. Waves powering over them in deep midwinter and yes indeed as John says there..they can be subjected to abuse from the unsavoury !
There hasnt been glass in that central one for a long time. You put fresh glass in, broken again soon after, its like the hokey cokey... and then slabs of it about to fall can be dangerous to kiddiewinks. Here is a picture from a year and a half back or so...no glass then either.
