    his biggest faux pas was at the end of a news bulletin, when telling the story of a fire engine and crew rescuing a cat from a tree on behalf of a sweet old lady.

    as the fire engine reversed out of the driveway it ran over the rescued cat.

    this was all too much for reggie, who fell into convulsions of laughter.
