We are dog owners and very responsible ones too. We have just taken our little chap along the seafront on his lead as we frequently do and we are embarrassed to be a dog owner! There are large piles of poo everywhere. Oh how I wish people would clean up after their doggies. This must happen during hours of darkness when nobody can see. How ignorant some are.
Rant over!

Agreed they really need to crack down on this - I took my dog to River over the weekend and someone left their dog waste spread all over the foot bridge over the lake which divides the lead / no lead area. On the plus side I've noticed the pavements are much cleaner than a year or two ago (in my area anyway).

I reckon it will ease off now the nights are lighter - seafront anyway as they can be seen. I hate seeing the bags of it thrown somewhere just because they can't be bothered to put it in the bins. And there are a lot along the seafront to use. Lazy.....pure laziness.

"On Monday evening our reporter checked Dover's Stembrook car park, Market Square and Biggin Street/Cannon Street precinct and found several small pockets of litter."
After a day of 50mph plus winds hardly suprising!

Leaving aside the usual self publicists in the article DTC take the comedy nomination with this.
"A spokesman for Dover Town Council said: “There are plenty of toilets available for public use throughout the town – ourselves and both the district and county councils provide facilities. Unfortunately, a small minority chose not to use them."
DTC have an arrangement with the Bull public house in the outskirts of town which I understand are unpleasant, DDC run the Stembrook shooting up gallery and KCC have a small set up at the library.

Howhard Macsquirty please note that the toilets at the Bull have recently been refurbished, however they no longer have an arrangement to allow non customers to use their toilets after the landlord found used needles in the men's loo.
The lack of facilities in the town is in no small part down to a small minority of people who have no respect for others or themselves, either using the toilets for anti-social behaviour or vandalising them.

Further it is not DDC who have committed to building new toilets at Maison Dieu, it is Dover Community Association

The junkies are the reason Charlton Centre toilets are accessible only with a key and why the other entrance on the carpark is closed.
These undesirables are the cause of so many of the problems within the town but there is little anyone can do about them when we have such minimal law enforcement in the area.

Oddly, I made a post in October 2016 but I don't know how to link it! It was about this situation, nothing changes!
