30 November 2010 - This winter, SeaFrance Dover-Calais Ferries is making available 10,000 any duration fares at just £25 each way for a car and up to five passengers. Book by 10 December 2010 (travel up until 15 April 2011) and enjoy a winter break in France for just £5 per person each way, based on five people travelling. This fare is available on 10,000 crossings across all sailing times so early booking is advisable. A supplement of £15 is payable for travel 17 December 2010 - 4 January 2011.
With such low fares available on crossings between now and April 2011 a winter ski break across the Channel is definitely an affordable option this season. Alternatively why not get organised early, beat the rush and book now for your 2011 Valentine's Day getaway?
SeaFrance operates up to 15 daily return car ferry crossings on the Dover-Calais route. This Seafrance way could be the best way of doing it, taking some time out for a short break at the same time. I see the odd poor soul fetching the beer back on shankses pony. Im not sure if thats good value any more but it could be if you combine it with a real proper trip at low cost.

I sent round an email on the 8th. of November about SeaFrance offers, encouraging people to book for Christmas trips and throughout next year.
Would it be an idea Paul, if I put the emails on here too ? I can't put the posters of course, but the main text will allow more people to know what's going on as regards Public Information, Up-and-Coming Events and local business news.

Who would you bring sure... the bowdlerising mother in law, her snotty kid brother. aunt hetty age 103 who doesnt like the food...oh the romance of it all!!

My group go to france many times a year to the Battlefeilds we always travel sea france P&O Norfolkline (DFDS) Or at the moment Euro T £20 return and no bad weather,or strikes in Calais, so when it comes to easter summer the Prices go up for the same crossing the same food the same toilets that don't work and the same crossing time the ferries used to do the crossing in one hour now its one and a half this is to save fuel and to keep you on the boat longer to spend more Most of the bars are closed to save money on staff wages they call this a light sailing.So if its cheap in winter when very few are sailing why dose this go up when the ships are full in summer carrying twice the passengers cars and fright.Sometime next week the TV show on BBC called Rip Of Britain will be looking into this very Big Rip Off.

I wouldn't call it a rip-off, just market demand really, certain businesses need to attract people out of season.

5 December 2010 11:1683315The summer fares help to subsidise the slow winter months and keep the ferries running when there are not so many travelling. The low winter fares are a loss leader where the companies hope you will spend a nice lot on board.-----------------------------------------------------------------------
