k college in dover have at present 250 individuals doing courses on the above subject, this figure is expected to double over the next year.
they have campuses in dover, folkestone and ashford and are tailoring courses to matters of local importance.
folkestone will focus on the creative arts and ashford will concentrate on sustainable engineering.
i seem to remember our council fuhrer pressing for emphasis on maritime skills about a year ago.
all sounds very positive.

It does, Howard - nice to see not only locally focussed education and development but alternative but properly useful courses being offered. Good outcome.

Just remembered that i gained an O level in seamanship at school, i wonder if that course is still available to local pupils.
