Metal Steeling now appears to be the norm and low life people with no morals at all stoop so low they steel from War Memorials, Church's, Crematoriums and even pick the lead from grave stones. I know some months ago River church had the metal memorial p-late ripped off the war memorial and on the news tonight they said at least one War Memorial a week is having the metal memorial plate ripped from it.
I just cannot get my mind around how people can stoop so low, they have to be the lowest of our society and should be treated that way if ever brought to court. Surly with metal theft being so bad these days, it is time for the Government to act and bring it stricter regulations on the sale and purchase of scrap metal. The scrap dealers themselves must often know when the sellers are passing on stolen metal and they do not appear to care as long as they can make their money.
Time for something to be done. both to give the police a better chance of finding these low life and for the courts to deal with them with a long prison sentence.
