We have some old items e.g cooker and washing machine from our flat renovation. Does anybody know of someone in Dover who would collect them.

Take them to the scrap heap yourself and get the cash for them. Or you could end up paying to have them taken away.

Here in London if an appliance is still in working order, no matter if old, and is left outside it will find a home all by itself. In Kent too, there is a market...

Freecycle will help others get in touch with people who are getting rid of useful items they no longer want.

A friend put her dead washing machine outside ready for the tip run the next day opened the door to find it had disappeared overnight.

At this very time there is a good living to be made at picking it up and at most times tax free.
