Hi, I have to register my interest in this one. My two children attend this school and, after witnessing several near accidents and the general traffic chaos caused by parents trying to park as close as possible to the school entrance we came up with the ideal for LazyParker. We are producing these banners and posters which will soon be available to all the schools in the country. We donated these ones to our school - who have been very supportive, just to judge the effectiveness and interest level - it has been outstanding!
Appealing to peoples conscience rather than threatening or chasing them away seems to be much more effective and a lot cheaper than tieing up police resources.
www.lazyparker.org is under construction but does have contact details if any other local schools would like the banners and I am grateful for any suggestions and feedback. We are already working on alternative ideas for schools and also for disabled parking, parent and child spaces etc.
