A Syrian boy gets bullied
which is completely wrong and it is splashed all over the news and over £120,000 by Crowdfunding is raised for him. Far to many schoolchildren (whatever their nationality) get the same treatment everyday and not a word in the national or local papers or on tv.
This might sound harsh but to me it seems the family have milked this to the full and virtually pimped their children to make money.

You said it yourself, its not the family who have created the News, the public outcry or the Crowdfunding, so it seems unfair to say they have ‘milked’ this.

Oh please, Jan.
'Pimped their children to make money'? Please show what evidence you have that the crowdfunding and video sharing was instigated by the family.
All that I have read on this subject tells me that the family contacted only a local solicitor and their MP in desperation after repeated incidents. The original video was certainly not shot or shared by a family member. The crowdfunding has only been attributed to wellwishers.

Ok maybe my comment was a bit strong but having read that this boy was not exactly the little angel that has been portrayed I was angry. I could also ask what evidence is there that it was not instigated by the family in some way, the media do not normally show much or any interest in bullying.
The boy and his father seemed willing to appear in front of the camera to tell his sob story after this so called awful event. Where are all the stories of those who go home with obvious injuries from really nasty bullying rather than just a wet face.

In the video this kid had a plaster cast on his arm, allegedly broken during a previous incident.

Needless to say the incident has now been politicised:-
The problem is that bullies basically bully. It's what they do. And it's always the 'other'.
The kid with glasses.
The fat kid.
The gay kid.
The ginger kid.
This time the kid just happened to be a refugee.

And as if to prove my point here's your chance to give to another local GoFundMe page:-

In passing, I hear on the grapevine that the recent upsurge in anti-social behaviour in Deal can be put down to the kids in a local 'care home' more and more of which are springing up in the district.
A case of 'visit London before London visits you'?

Fostering is very lucrative if you can take the stress, a couple I knew years ago used to take in "challenging" teenagers and most stayed for a very short while but could do a lot of damage in that time. It was normal for most to steal from the foster carers and sell items to buy drugs and each time the council would reimburse within a day or so.
Going slightly off at a tangent someone tried to open a care home for teenagers in Maison Dieu Road a few years back and it came out that it would only be staffed Monday to Friday 9 - 5!!
