    what do other members think of the latest offerings, i have just gone through the listings for the main 2 b.b.c. channels for tonight and have not been over inpressed.

    the commercial channels have to generate advertising revenue so they will go for anything that gets viewers regardless of quality.

    we pay for the b.b.c. and they are supposed to come up with quality public service broadcasting so we can take them to task.

    channel 1 starts of with 90 mins of "strictly come dancing" followed by a fantasy "merlin" that lasts 45 minutes. we then have "casualty" that has been going for so long it must be classed as a soap - 50 mins then we have the national lottery programmes for 40 mins followed by the news.

    channel 2 is full of repeats the only first run is the "culture show" for 60 mins, then we have flog it for 60 mins, dad's army 30 mins(though still funny decades later) then a documentary on the cockleshell heroes lasting 60 mins.
    we are then tormentd by the ultra smug "qi" for 45 mins then finish with "life's too short" a film about the making of a film.

    do we deserve better?
