Well heres my usual unbiased report;
In the first minute the ebbsfleet defender passed back to his goalkeeper very soft touch, goalkeeper went to kick it upfield completely miskicked it, ending up in his own goal 1-0 Dover.
It was end to end stuff, and certainly entertaining stuff.
Dover did play more on the ground, and ebbsfleet appeared very nervous.
that said they did hit the bar and have a few chances
Later in an end to end game whichDover was dominating, Dover got the second.
Although Ebbsfleet surged forward, Dover kept them out, and did break away a few times causing ebbsfleet problems.
I do believe Ebbsfleet should have had a penalty but the ref was giving everything to Dover this afternoon.
The second half saw Dover pegged back for the first ten minutes
But they broke away a few times, and then it was end to end.
Ebbsfleet players and supporters were getting frustrated, and realy looked like today they just wasnt going to score.
Both keepers made out of this world saves to keep the score where one or the other couldnt completely dominate,
although today i thought Dover were the better side.
Dover could of added to the score, but were happy to take away the 3 points for a great xmas.
Today should be noted that although the ref did book a lot of players(both sides) alot of the decisions went Dovers way
and this should be remembered when they dont get decisions go there way.
One thing that should also be noted whilst on the subject of officials there was a young girl lino, who didnt get noticed
so must have done ok
FINAL SCORE(Which puts Dover 2 points off the play offs_) Ebbsfleet Utd 0 Dover A 2
FINAL NOTE;
It shows your getting old when the ref and one lino appear to look like they are still at school lol

Not a bad report Keith would not disagree with anything, but I think the words "Surged forward" is a bit strong, they came at us in stages might have been better and we kept them out & counter attacked.
We were far the better side and deserved the win and as for Brown their manager refusing to shake Chris Kinnears hand at the end. Need to grow up and learn to accept defeat.

one of their players made an obscene "tweet" about chris kinnear too.

yes Harry thats fine, and nice to chat with you at half time.
Brown(Ebbsfleet manager) obviously wants to keep the tensions between the two sides.
Of course C Kinnear tactic to exploit ebbsfleet wage bill, whether correct or not, certaintly hyped up the tension.
Couldnt understand why D Mahone was kept on the bench by ebbsfleet until the second half
they were either over confident, or a tactic that didnt pay off.
Comments werre made in the crowd of the way players (Ebbsfleet) when fouled tried to get dover players booked/sent off
but i saw the same thing happen when dover players were fouled.
Quite honestly you see in it many games, when decisions go against a side, they crowd the ref.
As a refereee myself I was well mentored by one of Dovers best refs in his time
who advised me, when a decision is made, run towards half line, if players are still chasing, stop and book them
if they continue send them off.
They will soon get to know not to do it.
Of course it would also need all refs to do it(sadly some refs let players get away with far to much, then lose control)
end up sending players off, where as an early booking can often stop all this.

haranguing of officials is a blight on the game, young children see it and copy it.
i like the rugby union style of officiating - very little talking back done there.

and in rugby if you argue you move free kick forward, great idea.
If any of you recall at the charity shield at wembley between leeds and liverpool
billy bremner(remember him?) and kevin kegan both threw off there shirts on leaving the field in temper
i took my young kids team to watch the game.
the next day one kid copied it
these so called stars, dont realise how people look up to them
back on the ebbsfleet game though;
since the tweets, a Dover player has said that there is no gripes between the two teams players
they text each other

he did indeed Howard, former DAFC player Billy Bricknell, he has been disciplined by Ebbsfleet and Eurostar for the tweet.
