I am trying to compile a definitive list of where the salt bins (those yellow boxes full of grit for icy roads) are located in Dover as well as which roads within the town remain unadopted (gravel and pot-holes instead of tarmac). Once we have the lists DTC are hoping to provide more salt bins where required and see what we can do to get those roads improved. Can you help?
Just post the roads or locations, as well as suggestions on where salt bins would be most needed and we will do the rest.
Politics, it seems to me, for years, or all too long, has been concerned with right or left instead of right or wrong.

If you have some "official" info Chris. I'll be happy to circulate it round to those on my email address groups.
Is there a DTC poster that can be sent as an email attachment ?

just a footnote on the recent bad weather and the gritting
the chaps and chapesses at the council have excelled themselves around my way, i came out of the house a few days ago early morning expecting to slide down the hill, and discovered that during the night the PAVEMENT had been gritted.
usually side roads like mine do not get this treatment.
it must be a horrible job getting up in the early hours in this weather, get to a depot, try to get a vehicle started then try to work when cars are wizzing past them in the pitch black.
