Saga expanding

they say that this mighty benefit pfizer staff facing the axe, have to wait and see on that one.
anyway all jobs within easy commuting distance of dover district, saga are a great succes story, biggest employer in kent.

Great news as locations are within travel from Dover. However, with SAGA expanding in Hastings (Regeneration) would be good if DDC Regeneration could try and tempt them to Dover Town ??
After the Hastings expansion I was talking to someone who rumoured that SAGA would never set up in Dover District...Anyone have any knowledge why. - 7 February 2011 19:4791882funny you should mention that pat, paul b raised the subject of hastings getting the saga jobs a short while back.
hastings are a very upbeat council, we constantly hear references to their head honcho jeremy birch in the local media.

When the original Hastings news broke re all those 800 jobs I said much the same thing. Great employer, thriving, just not sure why we here in Dover are never considered.
I wonder what Burlington House is like on the inside now Paul. probably in a poor state. Sometimes these places deteriorate so much that its easier starting anew somewhere else. Remember the lumps of concrete that fell off it in recent times. You stroll underneath its edifice at your peril!!

Like most people in the early 70's my house was only about twice the size of my annual income thats not the case these days.
Anyone wanting to work from Dover for SAGA in Hastings will probably incur a move as commuting there by car or rail would be too time wasting or not cast effective so I doubt that poor ol' Dover will benefit that much. One can only hope Dover will benefit from yhe new posts in Folkestone and Hythe.
