what a joke just got back from there, no sign to say what had happened.
a few spots of rain and that is that,no wonder people are so cynical about anything happening here.

Might be overstretched today because of the Whitfield incident, otherwise it should have run or there should be someone there to explain.

wouldn't have thought that to be a problem ray,the coastguard, life guards, kent fire and rescue and the band would not have been affected.

Health and Safety might have been a factor, high winds and fire are not the best idea, I doubt many would have turned up anyway.
I agree there should have been an information notice.

Yes I thought this was all a wee bit odd...it baffled me all day. I wondered then if I had got the dates wrong as I went along as well but nothing there.
Howards picture tells the tale marvellously there above.

The wind was blowing hard, it was raining and was deteriorating. With power cables lying around, I don't see what else they could have done. They probably didn't want the public electrocuted or drowned on a Safety Awareness Day.

Yes Howard the pictures say it all, still i'm sure they will pick a better day to hold the event, but the weather is the one thing you can't trust.

the regatta and all its sideshows have gone ahead in much worse weather than yesterday morning.

It might have been that they thought the audience wouldnt have been there , I wouldnt have gine down the seafront yesterday and just presumed that it would be called off
