Sad side of the festive season

harold pinter, wonderful playwright who entranced us all on the box before dumbing down came in, closely followed by reality shows.
eartha kitt, songstress, actress, all round entertainer who will always be remembered by the use of her name in rhyming slang.
there can be no higher accolade. - 28 December 2008 09:3011557Thanks Howard - I used to love Eartha Kitt, I still listen to her songs on a Cd I bought a while ago. A great Lady who exhuded sex-appeal: not sure she would be happy to be associated with cockney rhyming slang though: having an Eartha Kitt indeed !!
And yes of course was a great playwright.

). I always make a point of playing 'Santa Baby' over the Christmas period.
