Sad Seagull

  At last I will give really positive comment on the new bins.
  
  I have been watching the seagull that usually sits on my wall prior to breaking into next doors bags. He is extremely upset and seemingly mystified as to where his food source has gone.
  
  Great joy no more rubbish for me to pick up as he always dropped his findings on my side of the wall.

  I try to be neutral and polite but it is hard and getting even more difficult at times.

  Presumably times will be tough too at the tip with only the packaging pictures of what they once contained to nibble at.
  A few hard frosts and any vermin problem could be reduced drastically, but on the gull front...alfresco diners beware!

  I think he and a few friends have moved to Essex Jan, noticed a lot more of them around the last couple of weeks!

  Glad you approve Jan - that was the whole point of trying to containerise waste/rubbish.
  
  Sadly it's taking a while to sort out the various problems but I'm sure they'll get there in the end.

  Roger, with the present economic crisis, I doubt the seagulls would have found anything to nibble at anyway in the bins

  Being a devout disciple of Evolution I would surmise that, within a few generations, seagulls will have developed bills capable of drilling through our green plastic food waste bins.
