EU triumph through adversity.... all the odds against them.....not given a chance to succeed....EU win.....
.......Oh yes we did well in the golf as well.......

wonderful achievement dubbed the "miracle of medinah" by the media, couldn't help but notice but of the 8 winners yesterday 6 of them were from our sterling shores and 2 from the eurozone.

Terrific fightback to win 8 of the singles matches.
I'm sure Seve was looking down on his close friend Olazabal and the team.

Most of the work was done outside the E.U.(AGAIN)

Holistically without the EU we would not have won....and an EU player obtained the point to win......It`s team work ....
..........as is the EU............

Has there ever been a year of sport like 2012? sportsman of the year this year will be almost impossible to choose and the golf last night certainly added a name or two to the mix.

tour de france, both olympics, the u.s. opn in tennis and now the ryder cup - never been better.
i was following the commentary on the bbc website and when it reached the stage of it all being down to martin kaymer someone said "no problem now, no german has ever lost a shoot out".

just to add to the mix there have naturally been claims that this was the best ever sporting comeback.
two others sprang to mind with me, the headingly ashes test in 1981 and man ure scoring two goals in stoppage time in a champions league final in the late 90's.
others may have their memories.

I am so glad that we have retained the Ryder Cup. It's been a good year for sport so far
