The European Court of Human Rights has decreed that a bloke deserved to be sacked for his private online activities during working rights. The Romanian chap felt that his employers infringed his civil liberties by checking his emails. I think they have got it right on this one and he deserves no sympathy.

Quite agree.

UKIP's spokesperson on Justice and Home Affairs thinks that this is another good reason to leave the EU. In the past it was generally acceptable to use the firm's phone to book a Doctor/Dentist appointment or tell someone you were working late, after all there were no mobile phones in use. I suspect that this chap was fairly useless at his job and his abuse of the business electronic device was the last straw. Looking at the Facebook posts outside of office hours gives an idea of how many people currently misuse their company's computer.

The correct ruling as far as I can see, you're being paid to work not socialise.
No sympathy from me!
