I think the district council might have a word with the owner of the takeaway about his waste arrangements. As a business he has to have a commercial arrangement as the usual weekly domestic collection doesn't pick up trade waste. Obviously with his frontage he can't have a wheelie bin so he will have to use bags. The trade waste collections tend to be very early in the morning so you have to put the waste out the night before. At Blakes we used to have similar problems with gulls but we solved it by sprinkling the bags with white pepper. Gulls hate it. But you have to be quick- once I was loading bags of waste into the car for a tip run. I put in two bags then went inside for two more. By the time I got outside again, two gulls had torn one of the bags open and were sharing the spoils in the back of the car.
