I have noticed that there are a great number of opportunities to experience all thing military in and around Dover, and as I read that there are about 130,000 military veterans in the county, there is a good chance that many of them will attend one or more of these events.
What I am not sure of is:Is there a presence at any/all these events of the organisations that exist to help serving soldiers, veterans and their families? Helpforheroes, for instance?
The sad fact is, that the numbers of suicides among serving soldiers and veterans has begun to exceed the numbers killed in action, and while there is a glimmer of hope within that statistic;that fewer are meeting their end at the hand of the 'enemy', the numbers are awful.
