    I am partly with Howard on this one.

    Pavements and pedestrian precincts are just that. they were meant for pedestrians. We now have to endure not only cyclists but also fast invalid scooters who all to often ignore us pedestrians and expect us to get out of their way.

    I am not saying either should use the road but to remember that they are 'invading' for want of a better word our space not the other way round.
