Festival of Winter Ales - Dover Town Hall:
Feb: 1-2 (Fri-Sat):
Deal, Dover, Sandwich & District: 20th White Cliffs Festival Of Winter Ales, Maison Dieu (Town Hall), Dover.
75 winter + strong ales, none less than 5% ABV (do not drink and drive!), mostly from small independents and micro-breweries.
Open: Fri 1pm-11pm; Sat10.30am-6pm. All beers £3 a pint, available from 1pm Fri (subject to condition).
Food available (no food or drink to be brought in and consumed at the Festival).
Wheelchair access (contact staff on arrival or in advance).
Families with well-behaved children welcome Sat afternoon.
Plenty of seating available.
See superb stained glass windows, collection of arms + official portraits of the Lords Warden of the Cinque (pronounced 'sink', not 'sank') Ports.

Dover War Memorial Project and Astor College for the Arts.
You may remember me writing about the Stain-glass window that was made in honour of the Unknown Soldier; the exhibition, including the window made a tour round parts of the U.K. including Westminster Abbey and finally came to rest at Astor College late last year.

Big Local Update: along with others, I attended a meeting on Saturday morning about how the £1 million that has been awarded to Dover, can be accessed and used.
If you would like to know more, please see the attached map and read the information document. Both have been checked for viruses so are safe to download.
