Crabble Corn Mill's 200 year Anniversary: Crabble Corn Mill are celebrating their 200 year anniversary in August and would like your help to make sure it is a great week-end. Here is some information:
200 Years Celebration Sponsorship Form.
Dear Sir or Madam,
This year we are celebrating 200 years of Crabble Corn Mill. The celebration weekend is 25th - 27th August.
In order to put on the celebrations we need to raise funds to put on entertainment, side shows etc, that we can not get for free.
We are therefore seeking private and corporate SPONSORSHIP for this event.
Each sponsorship package costs only £25.00
In return sponsors receive:
2 x Free adult entry tickets for the whole celebration weekend (25th - 27th Aug)
2 x lucky dip programmes Acknowledgement of sponsorship in the programme of events and on posters inside and outside the mill and also on the mill's website (www.crabblecornmill.org.uk)
2 x Free pints of Real Ale, Cider or equivalent.
Free Family Tour Ticket for Crabble Corn Mill
Free display space of business publicity - e.g. (Banners, Leaflets, Business Cards, Flyers during the event)

With a number of shops closing/already closed, we all still need to spread the word about the benefits of using local, independent shops and services, as well as our major stores.
Here are some points in favour of shopping local that you can put to your friends, family and, of course, if you are a business, your customers:

10.Independent shops offer a high level of knowledge about their products and you can get advice and guidance to ensure you get the product that meets your needs; customer service levels are usually higher in your independent shops and services. So don't forget to get the message out!

Pest Control - if you have cause to need pest control, the following will be of benefit to you:
As from July 1st. this year, residents in the Dover Disrict will be able to receive discounts if they need treatments for pest control.
Sample charges are:
Rats - £33.00 per treatment (usually 3 visits)
Mice - £33.00 per treatment (usually 3 visits)
Fleas and insects - £33.00 for up to 6 rooms, usually 2 visits
Bed-Bugs - £33 per visit, up to 6 rooms
Wasps Hornets and Bees - £16.52 per visit; additional nests £8.26
Remember some animals, such as bats and badgers are protected so always seek professional advice if in doubt

The New Charlton Arts Centre and The Gateway Camera Club are holding a photography exhibition during the month of July, upstairs in the Charlton Centre - Dover.
Call in and see the fantastic images taken by the Gateway Camera Club members. Open on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays 10.00 to 4pm.
