Here is my latest Newsletter:
Good Morning
In today's Newsletter, I have information on the following:
"You Decide" to support Crabble Corn Mill
Book and jewellery sale at the riverside Centre
Royal British Legion Remembrance Concert in the Town Hall on Friday 8 November.
Up and coming Events at the Ramada
Western Heights Open Week-end - 19th. and 20th. of October.
===================================
Crabble Corn Mill have put in for a grant up to £2500 so that they can do a full overhaul of the Wheel which was badly damaged in the storms of 2012.
They have done temporary repairs but this has unbalanced the wheel so it needs to be done correctly to run it without causing further damage.
The wheel floats are over £150 each and the wooden starts are around £10 each and there are 3 per float with 69 floats.
To get this grant, they need members of the public to vote for them, which is why they are asking for your support at the event. Please if you can spare a couple of hours on Saturday 23rd November come along and
support the Mill we all love.
Each organisation will be given 5 voting pads to distribute amongst your supporters. We have limited the voting pads to 5 in order that all organisations, both large and small , are given the same chance. We ask that you are respectful of this decision, and if more members of your organisation come in support, that they do not take part in the voting. Members of the public (who are not members of your organsiation) will also be voting.
====================================
Book and jewellery sale at the Riverside Centre Saturday 26th. of October.
If anyone has any spare books or jewellery - costume or otherwise, would you kindly donate them to the Centre for the aforementioned event.
Proceeds will be used for the older people of Dover's Christmas party.
Isn't that a great cause ??
