Dover's Blue-Bird Street-Market - starts Tuesday, November the 6th. at 09.00
Come along and support it and Dover and while your in Town, browse the shops too - you never know, you might never have to shop outside of Dover again.
The market is being organised by the newly formed Town-Team, which was formed by a number of local business people to bid for funds available under the 'Portas Pilots' scheme. Although their bids were sadly not successful, the team is pressing ahead with ideas from the process, including a proposal to start this Tuesday market.

Temporary Overnight Resurfacing Closures - A256 / B2011 York Street /Folkestone Road, Dover - 12 & 13 November 2012
A256 / B2011 YORK STREET, DOVER - the roundabout at the junction between York Street and Folkestone Road will be closed in 2 phases on the nights of Monday 12th and Tuesday 13th November 2012 between 7.00 pm until 2.00 am
The closures will be in two halves as signposted on site, with diversions differing according to which half is closed, as follows
Whilst western (Folkestone Road) section closed: via Folkestone Road, Elms Vale Road, Eaton Road, Astor Avenue, Tower Street, Tower Hamlets Road, Bridge Street, Frith Road, Connaught Road, Castle Hill Road, Woolcomber Street and Townwall Street.
Whilst eastern section closed : via Priory Road, Ladywell, Park Place, Park Street, Maison Dieu Road, Woolcomber Street, Townwall Street, York Street roundabout and York Street.
The following will also apply during the closure of the eastern half of the roundabout. WORTHINGTON STREET, DOVER - the one way Traffic Order will be reversed between Biggin Street and York Street.
BIGGIN STREET, DOVER - the one way Traffic Order will be suspended between Pencester Road and Edwards Road
The closures are part of a programme of carriageway resurfacing works being carried out by Kent County Council, previously notified under an overall bulletin. The dates have been modified since initially publicised; apologies are given for any inconvenience caused by this. The works are weather dependent, and adverse conditions may delay progress or prevent them going ahead on the planned date.
If they need to be postponed, revised dates will be advised locally and signposted on site.
