Dover Tattoo is on this week-end too ! Still time to book your tickets
(There was a lot more here, but I had included a poster which doesn't reproduce here, but if you'd like to buy tickets, pop into their Worthington Street office, or maybe next door in the Accommodation Shop and you can buy, for an extra £5.00, tickets for a VIP tent which has its own toilets, food and drinks (this is being organised by local Freemasons to raise money for local Charities).

London to Brighton Cycle run:
Riding 60 miles through starlit countryside, Dover's Linda Hannent cycled on the London to Brighton Cycling Run this year - last Saturday night, the 26/05/12.
Linda was raising money for the British Heart Foundation - who can argue this is not a worthwhile cause ? She left the hustle and bustle of London behind her and letting the breaking dawn lead her to Brighton's Madeira Drive - after 60 stamina-stretching, muscle-pounding miles, she enjoyed her much-deserved breakfast.
Following 30 years of success with the (day-time) London to Brighton Bike Ride, the British Heart Foundation were proud to launch their London to Brighton Night Ride; it sure was a magical night.
Please help Linda raise lots of money for heart research.
Please visit:

Heart disease affects us all - please do help.

Civic movement to ask "how proud are you of where you live ?"
The Public asked to get involved in national survey
On Saturday June 23 - communities across the country will be asked "how proud are you of where you live" as part of national Civic Day (http://www.civicday.org.uk).
Civicwatch (http://www.civicvoice.org.uk/campaigns/civic-watch/) is a new survey being launched by the charity Civic Voice. Civic-Watch is the civic movement's annual contribution to discovering how proud we are of our towns, villages and cities. Groups can download the resources they need to take part on the website.
Civic Voice believes everyone has the right to live somewhere they can feel proud of. We hope to build up a picture of how proud people are of where they live - do people in Coventry have more pride? Is Yorkshire the place with civic at its heart? This is what we want to find out. We want all civic groups to get involved."
