This is my latest newsletter I've just sent round. I cannot put the attachments or posters of course, so this is just the text.

    LionAid

I make no apologies for reminding you that there is a fund-raising art exhibition for the Dover-based Lion-Aid (www.lionaid.org) Charity at the Burlington Hotel in Folkestone, next week-end - the 26th. and 27th. of February.

The numbers of Lions in Africa has been reduced by 95% in the last 50 years; that's less than 20,000 in the whole continent; please help conserve them before it's too late.

I have attached a poster about the exhibition to this email, it has been checked for viruses so is safe to download.

Abandoned Dover: FREE tickets for all the family.
The Prince Albert, one of Dover's oldest surviving pubs, has commissioned Urban Decay to host an intriguing exhibition of photographs taken by three local Urban Explorers of hidden, some would say lost and forgotten, parts of Dover and the surrounding district.
    From April 9th to April 16th 2011

All these pictures will leave you wondering where they could be located; many are walked past each day and lay in silent memory to a courageous era in Dover's history.

Some have fallen so far into neglect that not even being on the "Buildings at Risk Register" can save them. They are gradually being reclaimed by Mother Nature and may soon be lost forever. This photographic tour will highlight just a small part of what is hidden beneath your feet; make you open your eyes to the lost parts of your town.

During this week long expo, you will be able to see these amazing photographs displayed within the Prince Albert, some will be on the walls outside and the week will culminate in a "live graffiti demonstration" where a local artist will produce an 8x4 foot picture of Dover Castle like you have never seen before.

Remember, it's for one week only, then these pictures will be sold off to the highest bidders, in a hope that at least their memory will be recalled for a little while longer.

Remember! ..It is a FREE event...print off a ticket, bring it with you to the exhibition and be entered into a FREE prize draw to win a box of local Kentish Goodies!

Please visit: http://urbandecay.eventbrite.com for more information and to book your free tickets.
