I'm sure it could be Peter. Getting appropriate literature out there would be the problem to overcome - if promoted both ways, perhaps the Jersey Hotels could help.
On a kind of related subject, I attended the launch of White Cliffs Country today at the Town Hall.
A good presentation by all those involved and some good leaflets and brochures - but and to me a big but, the brochures have information on where to go and what to see and where to stay, but nothing - absolutely nothing on retail shopping - O.K. I hear you say, where can we shop, but for a visitor (and resident), shopping is a leisure activity; we have some good outlets - M & S, Dorothy Perkins, JJB sports, Boots, Burtons, Greggs - for chain-stores and many good independants.
With many good outlets to promote Dover - including Jersey, the Discover Dover leaflet could be resurrected - but would the businesses be willing to pay from £40 to £50, dependant on size, to go in such a good quality glossy leaflet ?
The cruise terminal, the VIC (the most popular leaflet they've ever had so I'm reliably informed), Richard Mahony's kiosk and many other outlets.
I wonder.
