Hi Guys - well what can I say ??
A massive Thank You to one and all; it has certainly boosted my well-being and reduced the feeling of being stuck in KCH for so many days, with Jean reading me your kind postings of best wishes.
Not to make this too long and boring, I was so ill on Friday (I had been feeeling ill with flu-type symptoms all week, each day getting worse.
I called my Doctor's on Friday to make an appointment and they say said no I can't, so I called the out-of-hours service later and they said call an ambulance, which would have left Jean stranded at KCH, so she drove me there - about 7.30.
She didn't get home till about about 1.30 am and connected to her dialysis machine until just after 02.00 - 4 hours late !
Saturday I was "out of it" but had lots of checks, scans, x-rays and blood-tests (apparantly).
To say I felt like death (I nearly used another word, but remembered of course this is a family forum) for the first couple of days, is an understatement, my recovery started Sunday afternoon I think - thanks Peter and Kathryn so much and sorry for me talking (and coughing) so much.
Each day after that I thought I was coming home, especially after walking to and from Canterbury City Centre (a few comments to make later), walking around M & S there and seeing a pair of really dapper shoes I wanted to buy - but as Jean said, I didn't have any money.
I actually got told off by the nurses but a "well-done" from the Doctors -but I still had to stay one more day.
Type too much, just like I talk !!
I'm not doing any Council stuff till the end of next week as I just want to relax and get back some of the strength I have lost.
Biggest thanks of course to Jean - my rock.
