As I have mentioned on here a number of times, it has been observed that across the Country where LPAs have used 215, the buildings have been refurbished on receipt of that first letter.

Hastings were able to exercise section 215 with Government grant money on a number of their town centre buildings and it made a significant difference.

DDC does not have that grant money and with all the will in the World, DDC have less now to spend (on invoking section 215 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990) than they did when I tried to pursuade them about 2/3 years ago - and I went right to the top then.

It was also brought up by District Councillor Sue Jones at a full council meeting a few months ago.

I believe a different approach is now required.
