  The IFS have published their verdict on the budget and this is what they say about the change to these age related allowance - pretty much what I have been saying about how the media storm is unjustified and way out of proportion.

  QE has had a much more detrimental effect on pensioners adding 1.5% to their costs of living (QE 1 - instigated by last government) so far, with more to come.
