I have now received a reply from
The Observer to my complaint about the anti-Dover article by Andrew Anthony. An edited version of my complaint is available online:

Come on you lazy so and so's. Atm 127 view and not one comment. Or as most people only comment to be disagreeable does that mean there is no dissent?

Ok here is my not lazy comment.
I have nothing new to say on the subject.

I try to be neutral and polite but it is hard and getting even more difficult at times.

Great stuff, Andrew.
I've lived all over the show - in some amazing and not so amazing places, but nothing quite beats a walk along the cliffs and the stroll up the short hill to Crabble (remember when even that became an easy target when we had the temerity to host Palace?). Forza Dubris, as our mutual friend would say.

Well done, but I doubt it'll register. Andrew Anthony's been writing for the Guardian and Observer for over 30 years, more than long enough for him to have absorbed all the smug prejudices of that stable, one of which is to believe he has something new and interesting to say. Good journalists resist the echo chambers.

May I suggest reading Clare Foges and Matthew Syed in The Times for intelligent journalism
