On a slightly lighter note, the riots rather put our supposed social problems into perspective. One might say that DDC has been especially perspicacious in ensuring there is nothing much worth looting in the town centre
I remember during "summer riots 1.0" in 1981 a rumour sweeping the town that a busload of hoodlums were heading here to cause mayhem. They never arrived - perhaps they burned out their own bus en route?
The High Speed Train would presumably be the preferred option now, except they would probaby smash it to pieces before they got past Stratford...

Can someone perhaps interest the rioters in Tesco at Whitfield?

It was reported that two "youths" were arrested in Folkestone for trying to incite a riot through facebook and twitter.
Politics, it seems to me, for years, or all too long, has been concerned with right or left instead of right or wrong.

No unrest on this forum, apart form a gentle riot which Howard swiftly quelled with rubber bullets of irony.

Tesco have slammed the recent violent disorder that has raged around England by warning rioters that they will not relinquish their monopoly on destroying High Street shops without a fight.
"Making the area look ugly and striking fear into the hearts of local shopkeepers is something that we pride ourselves on," revealed a Tesco spokesperson.
