    Ever since I moved to the area about 45 years ago I have also seen this landmark but fail to see why they should not go. Assuming they will be replaced with wind turbines these will become the new landmark and be productive at the same time.

    I am not one of the "faceless demolition fetishists" I just fail to see why they should stay they are useless, ugly brick towers that are a blot on the surrounding landscape.
