about this time last year one arrived and made his home in pencester gardens.
couldn't get a close up as he scudded off when i got up close, i don't think he went far so if anyone is in town later they might like to keep a look out.

He has been to and throw for about two weeks now....
Clever chap, and a delight to watch....River Dour has more water in it today....
so a nice flow for him..................

that surprised me mr norman, i go past that stretch of water most days and haven't seen him until this morning.
the one last year was most devious, used to lurk on the bank next to the bridge and mug unsuspecting trout.

I saw a heron, to my delight, in River a few weeks ago, near to the mill.
