I gave just a few examples of the value of PCSO's and ended by stating the difference between a PCSO and a police person.
A pcsO HAS THE TIME to talk to people, police rush from one job to the next, dont spend time in one area, are all over the town.
PCSO are in only one ward thus get to know everything that goes on in the ward, just like some have quoted the old bobby on the beat.
Before we(a few of you) decide on the need of a PCSO find out a little more of there value, let me give you one more example l
I walked in a road and as i came to some toilets a police car drove past, a bloke ran off, i went into the toilets a found 3 youths(18 to 25) in a cubicle taking heroin
only because i was on foot were these 3 found, the police in the car would have been none the wiser.
