Firstly you have to understand why PCSO's were put in place.

They were never put in place to replace POLICE

    It's my view that PCSO's are needed, let me give you a few of many EXamples;

1; A family were so upset there boy was missing, at leazst 7 police cars out looking for him, all day no sign of him.
One the youth who usually wouldn't speak to the police, came to me, because I had spent 2 years working and listerning to them.
They told me where the missing boy was.
The police said "how come they talk to you?"
I replied "because I spent time gaining there trust"

    2; Another ]example
I was called to the seafront because a fight had started on the sands
on getting there, I saw 5 police cars, lots of police.
One of the youths came to me told me, who started the fight, who had left the
scene, why it started, and who was involved.
Again the police asked how come the youth spoke to me and not any of them
I gave them the same reply.

3; Now let me gfive you a different apsect on these things.

In sandgate a lot of youths had congregated upsetting locals, I sorted them
out, and dispersed them, as they were all leaving along comes a young
police lady who started to inflame the whle situation by demanding names
and slowly the youths started to return, which I was left to sort out.

So there is just a few examples of the NEED for PCSO's
Never to replace the police, and just remember this govt and previous govts are
clear there will be NO FURTHER increases in police numbers so doing away with
PCSO's does not mean you will get an increase in police, you won't!!!!!!

Sure people will now run down the role

    I know it works
