I hope the development is aproved, Dover needs it as part of the regeneration programme. Let's not preserve the ruins of the past in aspic, but use this as an opportunity to open things up for tourism locally and the nation. Lets not get hung up on the Farthingloe site either, this is so important because we must have private housing in Dover for people to be able buy otherwise we will never attract new people to live here. New people who are indpendent of the state that is. Without the development there will be no conservation of the heritage site because the interested parties have no money.
So much better to embrace this and positively influence the out come rather than being so negative about it.
