    Re the world police situation. I think I was comfortable having them as the worlds police. The mighty guns on the side of western justice and aspiration. But the jury is out on this aspect...did it make us safer in our beds at night or did it make matters worse having them as the worlds police?

    With proliferation everywhere and nobody to keep anything in check... we just dont know what miserable prospect could be instore for us all.

    The media and the public clamour for interference in all situations, but who's to do it. Currently the mess in Syria is on our screens every night and nobody can do a thing, all hamstrung by veto. But even if we got the go ahead to intervene..who's to do it?
