    PaulB, I sympathise as someone who also spends a lot of time on a pc I suffer from time to time as well.

    1. Get a decent computer chair so that you have proper support and are sitting correctly for starters, i.e. you haven't got all your weight on one elbow or something.
    2. Get one of those gel wrist rests, they are very good when you are using your pc for a long time in fact I swear by them. I have a long bar type one in front of the keyboard and a smaller wrist rest/mouse pad. They are available from computer stores or the big electrical chains which stock accessories.
    3. Make sure your computer desk is the right height for you and that you are not slumping or leaning.
