  Lets hope its because they are planning a re-surface as Jim says above and nothing more. We need the benches gracing our seafront so we can sit and ponder the briny sea not to mention the people who have paid for them in memory of their loved ones. There is a gloomy but very dramatic pic on the front page at the moment courtesy of PaulB that I would love to sit and ponder right now....... now wheres the bench.....
