Rememberance day, Nov 10th.
- 8 October 2013 12:42247574Yes, I know the date maybe wrong, but the 10th is the Sunday, and on that day there will a special service at St Mary in Castro.
The Dover branch of the Royal Artillery Association will be in attendence and will be fireing a 'live' 25lber field gun to mark the two minete silence at 11.00hrs. This will be the last service to be held at the Castle while we still have a Brigadier in the Constables Tower.2 Brigade is leaving Folkestone and the Brigadier is leaving the tower next year.

- 8 October 2013 22:08247612Why do we have to be the only country that does not remember the fallen on the 11/11 each year this is so wrong the young men who went to war for this country deserve better.And we as a country should be ashamed that we don't give them the respect they deserve, many a good man would turn in there grave. I shall be at my usual place on the 11/11 at the Menin Gate in Belgium were many of Dover Towns young men rest.Lest we forget.
