I think it about time the Catholics' had a rethink over there laws forbidding marriage for priest
It's got to be this law that's driving so many of them to commit all these sex crimes

I have read that the soon-to-be-ex Cardinal thought much the same thing latterly.
I doubt if these things are cause and effect, but the status-quo doesn't help matters.

Whether to continue with celibacy or not is a serious issue, but as so many married clergy have successfully crossed from the CoE the matter can surely be looked at.

Child abuse is unlikely caused through not being married.
If a man wants to meet up with a woman, but can't owing to an oath of celibacy, it would not drive him to abuse a child, as wanting to marry a woman has nothing to do with child abuse.
He'd either weather it and not think about marrying a woman, or meet up with a woman on the sly, or simply leave the Catholic clergy and go and date a woman openly.

I think that they should be albe to get married,but some are we have one in Dover but they are called Decons they take a full servise etc the one in Dover also has a full time job and a very nice person and has a family.
some will know why.
