    The criteria for grant aid is major private sector match funding & guarantees of jobs over 2-3 year period otherwise it has to be returned.

    A lot of schemes from Round 1 of the scheme have fallen foul of the criteria and put wishlist applications in and had their bids withdrawn.

    This is not for local authority bidding.

    So folks if you know of budding local businesses [not sure of types of businesses who qualify] who could succeed and provide new jobs the encouragement is there.
