Planning permission in. Up before Deal Town Council next month then DDC.

That's capitalism. Someone willing to put hand in pocket and try to provide a service. Hope it goes well. Not my money. More to the point NOT yours as a Council Tax payer.

All in spite of best efforts of 'Reopen the Regent' group who merely annoyed developers and made sure that if anyone Googled 'cinema in deal' the top of the search list would be a load of saddos standing outside the venue looking as though they were waiting for a Sunshine Bus saying he town was rubbish. THAT'S on the Internet forever whereas some of us have ben working to actually get things done (see Deal Pier).

Some of us have been talking to developer behind the scenes to see how he can move forward rather than getting our faces in the paper and ranting about what people 'need' rather than what he can supply.

    Gonna miss DDC.

Interestingly Astor have already plans to provide cinematographic splendours for Deal.
