I have seen this Headline elsewhere. It is surely the usual nonsense spouting from a slightly different mouth.
I doubt whether the EU suits any of it's members, if there is a distinction to be made it is likely only to be between the Net-contributors and the rest.
What is the point of pushing for any reform to suit only one section of the membership? We can see already that other member states feel free to ignore rulings from one overweening body within Europe and face only the slightest chastisement.
That, say, tightening immigration/migration controls would suit us:Politically, Socially and Geographically, but is it something that we do that draws so many from within (and without) the EU to our shores? As opposed to the general rule on free movement across EU member states.
Surely there must be ways the EU could perform differently that could be of advantage to all members?
Imagine if one member of a golf club pressed for it to allow membership to moustachioed women, as opposed to their present bar to women membership, just because his relatives tended to the hirsute? Before you knew it sales of Groucho-spectacles- 'n'-moustache combos would go through the roof.
It is also reported that 56% of us would vote to leave the EU. Without sealing our borders, what would we gain, what would we lose?
