I spent an enjoyable couple of hours at a church fete in East London and one of the attractions was this robot. He is built out of bins and used to promote recycling. I thought it was a fantastic idea.

This big kid loved him too

He's mostly made of plastic (purple) bins, very little metal, just the lights and batteries which get disconnected from him.
