Ahhh a 'usual suspect' awakes!!!!
Good news is terrible for him.....
Howard - correct, many have been moved out of sickness to jobseekers and that makes the figures even more impressive.
The bloated public sector was stifling the more important private sector, more important because all the funding for the public sector is derived ultimately from the private sector.
There is still a long way to go, thanks to the economic incompetence during the 1997-2010 period we do still have a massive deficit that must be dealt with and a difficult international situation thanks to foreign governments with a like-minded spend, spend spend attitude to the Blair/Brown regime. But, at least Osborne is taking us in the right direction, though he needs to do more for growth with supply side reforms and cutting back further on that still bloated public sector.
