Recent sunsets

The top photo is just underexposed compared to the other two, easy to do with manual control of a digital camera. If you're only happy using an auto setting just press the exposure button lightly with the brightest part in the middle of the viewfinder, then keep your finger on while you reposition for the final photo - works with most cameras. - 7 October 2013 09:25247417Another one taken in Tilmanstone a few days ago:

Yes always a bit tricky getting the colours right as if you expose for the dark bits the colours wash out. Top shot is great from Karine and nice one from Kath there too. I myself am not in a good position to get sunsets as i have to contend with the Burlington House on one hand and the structures on the roof of the Gateway on the other. But when I got in from tesco about 7 or 8 days ago I noticed a spectacular bit of sky in the gap so i zoomed in. The whole thing only lasted a matter of a few minutes.
Here is a wee bit of a puzzle for you. There are 5 birds on the wing in the picture.
Can you spot all five??
